Social Revolution and Shri Krishna

3

Happy Janamashtami to All. Happy Janamashtami sounds corny and forced to my own ears so Shubh Janamashtami :) A my kinda post on this occasion.

Shree Krishna, the Avatar/Re-incarnation is a subject I am incapable of touching upon. I will just take some instances of his life to show what a great Social Reformer, Brilliant Politician, and a Teacher of Spirituality he was. [His life and its meaning are things I have learnt and am still learning].

There was a time when every body’s motto was Eat, Drink and Be Merry. The Brahmins were not independent and were patrons of the ruling elite. The subjects taught did not include Life Lessons…did not explain ways to truly develop one’s life. The Ruling Class was egoistic and running after sensual pleasures and material wealth. The same behaviour was mirrored by the society at large. Though the people were materially wealthy they lacked in character, integrity and were floundering through life. Clueless as to why professional and material success and fame did not bring peace.

During such a time was born Shree Krishna to show us the power of Social Cohesion and stress upon the act that power and money are not what are needed for a Sangathan/Collective Strength and Social Revolution. He came to protect the Righteous (Saadhu) and punish the wrong doers. To set things right. He stopped the Indra Puja which was a way to worship Vaibhav/Material wealth. He advocated and started Govardhan Puja….Go meaning Upanishad and those who protected and spread the ideas of Upanishads…a spread of Naitik Mulya/ Moral Values.

He endeared the women and stirred up a women’s movement by spending time with the Gopis and making them into Brahmins…a people who spread the thoughts of God and Godly behaviour. The famous Raas Lila is just that …Lila…a romanticized version of a 7 year old Krishna’s interaction with much, much older women. He knew that a woman is instrumental in bringing about change in her home, extended family and society.

Grihe Grihe Gopvadhukadamba“…the revolutionary ideas were taken from door to door by these Gopis as they sold milk.

He accepted the title of “MaakhanChor” to bring about a change…starting from the children of Gokul. There was no dearth of milk and butter in Gokul but all of it was sold to Mathura. The children of Gokul were deprived of essential nutrients. Krishna who was not lacking in any way stole milk and butter and distributed it amongst his friends. Another perspective is that Maakhan symbolized Sad Vichaar or good thoughts. He took the good from each family in Gokul and passed it on to the children. He sent the message that both a healthy body and mind are needed to make these children able citizens of tomorrow. These very Gopal’s along with Krishna changed the society.

And finally ShreemadBhagvad Geeta…not a religious text but Shree Krishna’s gift to Humanity. It answers all possible questions one can have about life. All doubts will be cleared and dilemmas settled. But secular education does not allow for a study of spiritual texts. And outside school we have better things to do…Art/Ballet/French/Tuitions/Coaching more tuition and more coaching.I say have Bible/Koran/Vedic Classes in school. Otherwise where do I learn the true purpose of my life. How do I find my inner peace which stands so shallow today. We are a generation which is stumbling through a fog. Happiness does not last. We are full of angst and so full of ourselves. We are living in a false truth.
I fear for my child who will surely learn how to make a living but will grapple with the fundamental issues which will determine his course and his happiness.

The cycle of good and bad is eternal. The society 5000 years back was no different from the society of today. The Land where Krishna was born is dipping down to new depths. And the behaviour is being cloaked behind the Right and need to earn money and fame, the Right to practice proudly the Philosophy of I, Me, Myself….the new mantra of emancipation for all. The Right to Cowardly hide behind…’Kaliyug hai…kya kiya ja sakta hai’.

In todays scenario there are some fundamental and glaring issues. It has suddenly become necessary to excel in University (definitely not a Center of ‘Higher Learning’ but a Center of ‘Higher Earning’) but not imperative to be a man/woman of character.
The justification I hear often is that parents gave birth to us and brought us up because they ‘wanted’ to. They did not reproduce because they wanted us to take care of them in old age. So its only practical if I let my sick and alone parent,to die far away!! I know of someone who could not go for his mother’s last rites. And I know of many more who say it was not ‘practically’ possible.
I recently read an ad ..” Wanted a Nanny for a 4 month old baby girl from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm. I know that the mother does not need to work to support herself financially. I know that she also does not need to be employed for Asmita/Self-Respect/Intellectual Stimulation/Application.
12.5 hours..the child will spend with a hired help/professional and then she is expected to be emotionally attached to her family or anyone for that matter? Then why should it come as a surprise later, that she/he is lacking in values and valuable life lessons. Gone are the days of Tapovan and Gurukuls…we need to recreate them in our homes. And ‘paid’ personnel can never do that.  ’Gurudakshina‘ is not ‘tuition fees’ and hence do not expect the same results. But I forget Full-time Mothering a child one brought into this world is asking for a great Balidaan/Sacrifice which we might not be prepared for.

I see no political will to defend and uphold the honor of the Nation. From China to the much weaker Pakistan to Australia and even internal problems like Kahsmir, Naxals and the ultras in North East….they will never hear a strong clear Indian voice.
The greed to hoard is overwhelming. Enough is never enough. Hence the collapsing buildings, train derailments, loot, rape and murder. Live Life King size means ‘Upbhog’(consumption) of the highest order. Retail therapy is fast replacing Spiritual therapy. Upgrade whenever boredom sets in. And how easily bored we are today.

A spineless government and a spineless and an even weaker society.

In such times the lessons given by Krishna hold good. Time has not stolen his lustre.
Knowledge and Devotion must be combined with Action. There are too many Bakasurs(Bak meaning False Pride), Aghasurs (Agh meaning Sin). And Asurs are not the ugly monstrous, fictional, Indianized versions of Vampires but real immoral, corrupt, bloodsucking Rakshas(sucking away at the society and the Right Way of Life/Dharm) to duck and lie low.

  • He showed us the Middle Path between Consumption and Renunciation.
  • He asked us to keep our personal obligations/promises and loyalties aside for the greater good.
  • He showed us that we can fill our lives with laughter and play and yet tackle the evil within and outside.

Janamashtami is not just about fasting and feasting but renewing our pledge to carry forward Shree Krishna’s work and blaze the trail for a Social Revolution. Rise and Shine!

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum!!!

Educational Scenario In Jammu Kashmir

2

In 1970, the state government of Jammu and Kashmir established its own education board and university. Education in the state is divided into primary, middle, high secondary, college and university level. Jammu and Kashmir follows 10+2 pattern for education of children. This is handled by Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (abbreviated as JKBOSE). Various private and public schools are recognized by the board to impart education to students. Board examinations are conducted for students in class VIII, X and XII. In addition there are various Kendriya Vidyalayas (run by the Government of India) and Indian Army schools that also impart secondary school education. These schools follow the Central Board of Secondary Education pattern.

Notable higher education or research institutes in Jammu and Kashmir include Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura Srinagar, National Institute of Technology Srinagar, Government College of Engineering and Technology of Jammu and the Government Medical College of Jammu. University-level education is provided by University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Islamic University of Science & Technology, and Baba Ghulam Shah Badhshah University.

Recent Advancements & Trends

The literacy rate in the state in 2001 was only 55 per cent. A latest survey has indicated that it has increased up to 65.67 per cent, Education minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed told the state assembly.

The number of school dropouts has also reduced from 3.67 lakh to 0.39 lakh due to opening and upgrade of primary schools, establishment of education guarantee scheme (EGS) centres and organising seasonal camps.

To meet the shortage of teaching staff, about 6,000 teachers have been selected by Service Selection Board (SSB) and 54,497 Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers engaged in newly opened and upgraded schools.

4,242 primary and 616 middle-school buildings have been constructed and 4,585 additional class rooms and 330 computer learning centres established.

For girl child education, Sayeed said 78 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) have been made operational, while construction of 60 of them is in progress.

Under mid-day meal scheme, 8.51 lakh and 3.14 lakh children have been covered at primary and upper-primary level, respectively, during the current fiscal.

Girl hostels and model schools are being established in educationally backward areas and scholarships for 4,206 SC and ST and KGBV passed out girls at the rate of Rs 3,000 per child sanctioned by the Centre have been credited to their accounts.

Also, 145 out of 300 mobile schools for Gujjars and Bakerwals which were earlier closed due to militancy are being re-started.

About 20 members took part in the debate on the demand after which grants amounting to Rs 262039.08 lakh were passed by the House.

Right to Education Act

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act has come into force in the country, barring Jammu and Kashmir. The border state is still figuring out whether to ask the Centre for extension of the Act to its territory or not. This, despite being home to students with the worst learning outcomes in the country. Just 27 per cent of Class V graders in J&K can read Class II text; only 16 per cent of all schoolchildren (six to 14 years) can recognise numbers 1 to 9; 28 per cent can do subtractions and only 20.6 per cent can do divisions.

That apart, because the state enjoys special status under Article 370 of the Constitution, it needs to make a special reference to the government if it wants a central Act applied to it.

It now turns out that the state has yet not made any reference to the Ministry of Human Resource Development to seek the extension of the Act to its territory.

The law, passed by Parliament in August last year and notified for implementation from April 1 this year, binds states to offer free and compulsory education to children aged six to 14 years in neighbourhood schools. States will get three years from April 1 to put their acts together.

While every state government has begun evolving the definition of neighbourhood schools to cover every child, J&K is reluctant to bind itself to the law that has huge financial implications. It wants greater central assistance to implement the Act.

HRD Minister Kapil Sibal told The Tribune that the current ratio of cost sharing for RTE Act between the Centre and states would be 55:45, except for north-eastern states, where 90:10 formula could apply.

Jammu & Kashmir, citing its backward status, wants itself equated to the North-East insofar as finances for the Act go. When contacted, School Education Minister for the state Peerzada Sayeed admitted to TNS: “We don’t have the money to run the RTE Act or to train teachers. We can implement the Act only with greater central assistance, with 90:10 cost sharing between the Centre and us.” Peerzada excused the state, saying it was already offering free and compulsory education to students up to class XII. “We have framed these rules only today,” he said. Meanwhile, Additional Secretary, School Education, J&K Arifullah cited the experience of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) under which the central-state cost sharing ratio declined from 80:20 in 2001 to 60:40.

English Medium Education in J&K – A Surprise

Here’s a surprise. Jammu and Kashmir is the only state in the country — outside of northeast — where more students study in the English medium than any other language.

In fact, there are more students attending English-medium schools in J&K than in big states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat or Madhya Pradesh. In terms of sheer numbers, Andhra Pradesh has more students studying in the English medium than any other state, followed by Tamil Nadu. These figures only account for students studying in government and government-aided schools.

Interestingly, states ranked at the top of the recently-developed Educational Development Index (EDI) — Kerala and Delhi — don’t seem to be doing too well when it comes to imparting English-medium education to their children. Students enrolled in English medium schools in these two states are only a small fraction of those receiving instruction in Malayalam and Hindi respectively.

The figures came to light when TOI compared EDI rankings with State Report on Elementary Education in India, 2005, a National University of Educational Planning and Administration publication. EDI rankings did not take the medium of instruction as a performance indicator.

In the so-called Bimaru states of Bihar and UP, English-medium students lag further behind in enrolment numbers. In Bihar, they are under the “others” category and in UP, their numbers are only in thousands.

But education in English is spreading too. In Jammu and Kashmir, English has emerged at the most preferred medium while this is also the case in north-eastern states of Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. In Mizoram, English is next to Mizo as a medium of instruction.

In Andhra Pradesh, of a total of 1.13 crore students, while 90.34 lakh students go to schools where Telugu is the medium of instruction, 19.32 lakh attend English medium schools.

Central University Issue in J&K

The latest issue to have ignited regional tensions between Jammu and Kashmir was the Central university (CU) question. Coming close on the heels of the Amarnath Shrine Board agitation last year, the prospect of the CU row escalating into an issue of a similar magnitude, led the state and central governments to intervene, thereby, saving the day.

Announced by the Prime Minister at Jammu University in 2007, Singh stated that “at least one” of the 30 new central universities announced by the centre, would “be [set up] in the state.” While he remained non-committal regarding the location of the university, most media and local accounts from either region maintain that while the CU was proposed to be set up in Jammu, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) had been granted to Kashmir Valley.

Trouble began when the CU office started operating from a temporary campus in Srinagar under Vice Chancellor Abdul Wahid, who even advertised for faculty positions for the proposed university. Following this, agitations started gaining momentum in Jammu region, demanding that the university be ‘returned’ to it. Protestors alleged that the state government had deliberately set up the university office in Srinagar in an attempt to ‘shift’ the university to the Valley even when land had already been identified in Samba district in Jammu region for its establishment. The state government’s efforts to tide over the growing unrest by proposing to establish a bi-campus university fueled even greater protests.

With the experience of the 2008 land agitation still fresh in political memory and the possibility of the eruption of fresh trouble between the regions, a delegation from the state, headed by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, met the Prime Minister. to urge the centre to grant two central universities to J&k instead of one to meet the ‘regional aspirations’ of the people. An announcement to this effect came from the HRD ministry towards the end of September stating that the central government had decided to establish, ‘as a special dispensation,’ two central universities – one each in Jammu and Kashmir.

After going against its policy to grant J&K’s demand for two Central universities, one each in Srinagar and Jammu, the Centre is sitting on the appointment of Prof Amitabh Mattoo as Vice-Chancellor of Jammu Central University.

Prof Mattoo was recommended for the post by the Union HRD Ministry nearly two months ago, but his candidature is held up in Rashtrapati Bhawan owing to a series of letters terming him “pro-Pakistan”, “pro-separatists”, “not a true Kashmiri Pandit” and “a rank outsider to Jammu”.

The letters have been sent to President Pratibha Patil by Jammu Joint Students Federation, Peoples Revolutionary Movement, Joint Action Committee of Students and Scholars, Jammu Central University Morcha, Panthers Party and Shri Ram Sena, among others.

The President, as Visitor to Central universities, gives the final approval to the appointment of a candidate as V-C. The candidate is selected by a search-cum-selection committee.

The President usually does not spend much time in giving its approval, but Mattoo’s case has hung on. Rashtrapati Bhawan had reportedly sent the letters to the HRD Ministry for its views. In its reply, the ministry said Mattoo’s name was selected by a committee of experts after due deliberations and so it could not vouch for it in any way. On Mattoo not being a “true Jammuite”, the ministry has pointed out that Central Universities Act, 2009 clearly states that domicile cannot be an issue in the selection of a V-C. Mattoo, incidentally, was born in Srinagar.

Mattoo’s academic credentials can hardly be questioned. He is Professor of International Politics at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University, member of the National Knowledge Commission, member of the Monitoring Committee of French Research Institutes in India and Fellow of the 21st Century Trust. He is on the Executive Committee of the Pugwash India Society.

Mattoo has served as the youngest V-C of Jammu University and has been member of the National Security Advisory Board, Foreign and Commonwealth Office Scholar at the University of Oxford, Visiting Professor at the University of Notre Dame, Paris, and Center for International Security and Cooperation, Stanford University.

It is his association with Pugwash Society, which is considered as being slightly harsh on India, that his critics attack him for the most. They also allege that his tenure as Jammu University V-C was unimpressive, “marked by irregular appointments, financial irregularities” and so on.

है निहित सभी का हित इसमें;
रक्षित हों जीव जंतु नभ थल;

I know I am very rude in my last few statements, but few  word of some  Jammuities hurt me a lot like money matters more than self-respect,I can do anything for publicity(and the article:-Debut entry in Blog world written by some Abhyudhay, about whom I dont know much is also some fakie person created by me).

As Sidhu says,”No one one dares to kick a dead dog.”

Someone has rightly said,“When we judge or criticize another person, it says nothing about that person; it merely says something about our own need to be critical.

One more,”All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.”

A man’s country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.

Moral of the story is:-

Sometimes we get so caught up in producing, achieving and becoming successful, that we may never stop to ask, “What is life all about? What am I really living for?”

Plastic bags are everywhere and Everyday, we are handed countless plastic bags.Yes, sometimes, plastic bags are convenient, as they are water resistant and light and inexpensive compared to paper bags.

But Here are some questions we should ask ourselves whenever we are handed a plastic bag: -

  • Do I need to take as many plastic bags in supermarkets?
  • Do I need a plastic bag for an item purchased that is already well packaged by the manufacturer?
  • Could I bring my own shopping bag when making purchases?

Plastic bags are the cause of major environmental concerns. Most of them go straight to our landfill and

a very small percentage of plastic bags are actually recycled.

Here are the reasons why you should limit your consumption of plastic bags:-

Because of their light weight, plastic bags fly easily in wind, float along readily in the currents of rivers and oceans, get tangled up in trees, fences, poles, and so forth, and block the drainage.

Plastic bags are made from a non-renewable natural resource-petroleum. The manufacturing of plastic bags contributes to the diminishing availability of our natural resources and the damage to the environment from the extraction of petroleum. Most plastic bags are made of polyethylene – more commonly known as polythene – they are hazardous to manufacture and are said to take up to 1,000 years to decompose on land and 450 years in water.

Countless plastic bags end up in our ocean and cause harm to our marine wildlife, who mistakenly ingest plastic and choke in plastic bags that is floating around. It is estimated 100,000 marine mammals die each year because of plastic litter in our ocean in the North Pacific. Land animals also to be victims as well. In countries such as India , cows mistakenly ingesting plastic bags on the streets as they are scavenging for food and end up choking or starving to death, as plastic cannot be digested. There is virtually no market for recycling plastic bags.your local supermarkets collect used plastic bags for recycle, very few are actually recycled.Whereas, most paper bags are made from recycled paper

During the last few years, status of environment instead of improving has gone from bad to worse. Without elaborating upon what went wrong? How and Why” I would like to invite the attention of the common public to pollution in River Tawi. Jammu city may be the only city in the whole of India which is associated with the name of river Tawi. Raja Jumbo-lochan laid the foundation of this city after having witnessed drinking of water by a Panther and a goat from the same Tawi River. Thus people of Jammu have got cultural, religions and social connections, attachment with this river, but their indifferent insensitive behaviour and life style has resulted in severe pollution and even survival of this river is in great jeopardy.

The river is being polluted by throwing of garbage, discharge of sewage, chemical effluents, open defication, silt from degraded catchment, washing of vehicles etc. It has an adverse effect on fish, animals and wild animals and habitations using this water for drinking, agricultural or any other use.

The hard facts like population explosion, mismanagement in the disposal of sewerage water of the old city and lack of awareness among the people have contributed a lot for spoiling clean and fresh Tawi water. The ‘deliberate ignorance’ on part of certain agencies and the attitude of escapism has further aggravated the problem.

It is unfortunate that despite J&K High Court directions and several notices by the State Pollution Control Board, Jammu Municipal authorities and the UEED have failed to take necessary measures and stop direct flowing of old city drain waters and garbage to river Tawi. A little effort by the Municipal authorities two years back, by launching a micro ‘ Clean Tawi project’ could not yield any fruitful results. The PCB authorities had reportedly served atleast 3-4 notices to these two main civic agencies regarding proper management of sewerage water which is highly polluting the Tawi river water, serving as the lifeline for the people here.

In Bangladesh , plastic bags have been banned completely since early 2002 as they were found to have been the main cause of floods during the 1988 and 1998 that submerged two-thirds of the country. In 2001, Mumbai council also eliminated the use of plastic bags to prevent them from littering the streets and clogging up the city’s sewerage system. As a result, merchants have switched to recycled paper bags and litter in the city has been reduced considerably. As consumers, we should not wait for our governments to tackle the problem of plastic bags. Change ultimately comes from everyone WAKE UP ! THERE MAY STILL BE TIME

If every human alive today consumed natural resources and emitted carbon dioxide at the same rate as the average person in the developed world, then we would need at least another two Planet Earths, if not three – WWF

Does Indian Society Appreciate Honest People?

0

We Indians are A -Grade hypocrites.Does our system honour and respect an honest man ? Is there any place for a man in league with values in our society ? Give me an honest answer !! We are living in times when giving and accepting bribe is a normal phenomenon.Against this backdrop, what’s the survival chances of an officer who does not accept bribes?

Today the worth of any government official or any individual is measured in terms of money he/she has earned during cream postings. Any official who is incapable of doing so is not only marginalized but also hailed as “लंठ” (moron). He is ridiculed by the peers and accused of being over smart.Sometimes back I saw the movie “Shool”.Have a look at this movie to acknowledge the worth of honest official in our society. You may find my remarks bit appalling but the sad reality is that we appreciate people in league with wrong values.

No wonder why parents give their daughters only to sarkari babu(government employee).Reason? Because that ensures extra flow of cash (ऊपर की कमाई).When the parents search for a suitable groom for their daughter ,they ensure that prospective is employed in a government institution. You are in government job.Okay. However, what impresses the family of bride is the “ऊपर की कमाई”(extra income earned through wrong means)and not the post on which the groom is working. Now that’s the drama taking place in Indian society.Imagine the plight of person who is not a government official and also honest !!

I must say our system does not encourage good individuals. Here people are both eager to give and accept bribes. No body feels anything bad about it.It’s so normal in our times. That’s why when officials meet they often discuss prices of land ,prices of latest model of cars, prices of latest gadgets. Do you think this discussion would have been possible had they been living life without wrong sources of income? ‘Foul is fair’ in our days.

People now give and take without an iota of guilt.Anyone who cannot do that feels guilty for being too dull headed to learn the tricks of give and take business.Yes,it’s an age where people like SRK are being paid not less than five crore for a ten minute ‘naach gaana’(singing and dancing) act in a party of business tycoon. What I am trying to say that when money has gained so much importance in our times, the people are ready to any extent to fulfill their suppressed desires. The programmes like “Sach Ka Saamna” are based on this principle that money has the power to make people do anything both in private and public !!

I always believe that honesty pays rich dividends but when I look from the eyes of common man’s eyes or from the eyes of people trapped in harsh realities of world honesty has never paid rich dividends. It means no better school for children, it means visiting Sarkaari(government) hospital and it means living a life devoid of class.I realize that a life based on values is always rewarding whether one gets credit for it or not but then our world is comprised of lesser mortals .We cannot anticipate their problems from higher plane of thought !!!! A friend of mine provided me the link which said how an IAS couple made millions via corrupt practices. We have Chief Ministers who are involved scams of all sorts.Look at Mr Madhu Koda who is “charged with laundering money worth over Rs. 4000 crores” !!Now look at the data that brings in open the state of affairs in India.

  1. Average Life Satisfaction Ranking — 68th/104
  2. Per Capita GDP Ranking — 83rd/104
  3. WEF Global Competitiveness Index — 49th/133
  4. UN Human Development Index — 132nd/179
  5. Heritage/WSJ Economic Freedom Index — 123rd/178
  6. TI Corruption Perceptions Index — 85th/180
  7. Vision of Humanity Global Peace Index — 122nd/144
  8. India ranks at 45 in the Prosperity Index.

I sometimes feel corruption should be provided some legality.Look at the prices of essential commodities. Imagine the plight of parents whose wards are studying in B-Grade schools. I am not taking about elite or higher middle class.I am talking about lower middle class and poorer section of society. There are only two reasons why lower middle class gives and takes bribes. One is that we want to become hi-fi as early as possible and second one is that we are always chased by insecurities. We think if we don’t accept bribes we may not be able to survive in this age when almost everything comes at a price. We cannot ignore this logic.

The sad reality is that whole system designed in India is not aimed at providing ease to aam aadmi(common man). It’s built to exploit common man as often as possible. I don’t wish to quote incidents the examples but I have enough reasons to prove that hollow idealism is not going to solve the problem. Just overheard yesterday that a big official paid 15 lakhs for a cream posting. Move inside the corridors of UP secretariat and you will know the definition of give and take.

People are ready to pay and the modern definition of honesty is that a officer is a good one if he does your work after accepting the bribe. My friends who are preparing for civil services apart from many other dreams have hopes of earning quick money in quick time.I know many others who have just entered into the services. They tell me :” Arvind, the situation is horrible.Sabka commission fix hai..kya kare (every officer needs his/her share in the booty)”.

Worse, the people who have paid money to get the services their first aim is to get back the money they have given to get the service. How will they cover up if they don’t accept bribes.? And the one’s that have not yet been selected dream of making huge money once they get selected. It ensures beautiful wife from a big family. We are living in times where even the 10th failed when gets married hopes of getting “phatphatiya”(bike) :-) ).So what’s wrong if officers in making hope of getting huge dowry :-) )

I don’t think likes of Madhu Koda amassed huge wealth via acts of Charity? Bribe culture exists because nobody is ashamed to be part of this circle. Please don’t label me as pessimist when I talk about legalizing bribe culture but only wish to say that when it’s so common what’s the need to make fuss about it ?

However,I realize that a life based on values always produces good result in a sense that it leads to expansion of one’s own self.In fact,I too have great faith in system and in cherished values.Though I am surrounded by negativities I am still mired in optimism.I am not going to lose hopes in better values. However,do the common man who does not have access to evolved thoughts can feel happiness in being honest ?
