Youths Of Jammu
27I have written few articles somewhat related to Jammu’s political crisis but today I am going to share the reality of Youths of Jammu and my good experiences with them while explaining them about the organization which some of youths are in the process of creation. I got great replies from them or rather I should say great excuses.
Let me share some of the great excuses shared by few of my friends during chat.
When I asked one of my friend last night that had she ask any of her friends about our organization?
I got this great reply, rather i should say Excuses–
time is the basic problem
yehi reason hai
sab key passs
n ntng else?”
She continues–
hmmm i agree reasons valid nhii hai
bt we all feel ki kaun tym waste karega….
its nt me…actually its mentality of youth
hey mei sirf general baat kr rahi hun
evn agar apni baat bhi karu na….
toh I’m sure me bhii yehi bolungi?
After this I got one more reply,or u can say a Compliment according to her–
ap bhi yehi bolte
if u wd nt hv been part f it
…..plzzz think over it
its a fact
agar ap isko promote nhii kr rahe hote n all tht….
u kno mene jis se bhii discuss kiya i got same reply as i told…
practicallly kisi baat ko socho toh u’ll come 2 d conclusion ki logon ki kya mentality hai?
I was too amused after getting all these Excuses but cant able to reply her at that time because of my short temperedness on such issues, So thought of writing an article, so that whole world comes to know about the youths of Jammu.
This was just one experience I had. There are many such experiences I ve encountered explaining about this noble cause, but its not right time to narrate all those great experiences.
Ya one more excuse specially from the girls of Jammu , that Our parents will not allow for such work (Papa ko puchh ke btati hun).
May be its not an excuse,But my question to those parents who dont permit/allow their child for being part of such organization is-
“Working for the welfare of Jammu is a crime or what??
For These so called Young Guns of Jammu, someone many years back rightly said “We never know the worth of water till the well is dry”.Youths of Jammu doesn?t know the respect they have to give to their mothertongue and motherland .
Some of the Members of? our organization including–
1.Nittin Singh Sambyal(Working in ICICI bank,).
2.Nittin Sharma(working in some company in Hyderabad,)
3.Rahil Gupta(Student from RS Pura)
4.Surbhi (BBA Student)
5.Harish (Student in NIT,Hamirpur)
6.Garima (Working in Chandigarh)
7.Manu Khajuria (Working in US)
8.Abhishek(Student)
9.Ajay Jathiar(Working in Dubai)
10.Shammi Sharma(Working in Germany).
These are some of the members who actively takes part in discussions and regularly gives their ample time for suggestions and their replies. They are genuinely paying for their state apart from their work schedule of? 8-10 hours in a day and that too out of their homes.
And how can we forget our so-called Young guns:D of Jammu also have lots of Work to do, that includes their hectic schedule of college with timings of 2-3 hrs on average per day and few tuitions which on average maybe around 2-3 hours. So,In total 4-6 hours per day, rest of the day what they do I don’t know.
“Papa ko puchh ke btati hun“ what they exactly wanna say by this?
Kya papa ko achha nhi lagega beti achha kam kar rhi hai?
Ohh! Ya,they have to do lots of work on orkut like chatting with guys and gals, playing great games like-
If u r a cook wat, will u cook 4 the prsn adv u???
Song U R Listening To?
………Trapped WiD D PeR$0|\| @b0vE……….?
Apki Pic dekhi toh yeh Khayal Aya…?
SoMeThiNg FoR tHe PerSoN aBovE YOu?
and many more “mind teasers games”
Most of us sometimes do feel guilty that we have done something wrong which we must have try our best to avoid them. But if someone asks about any of our wrong doings, had had we ever accept the responsibility and admitted that its our fault only. No never but instead of accepting our fault we have started giving excuses.Making excuses for mistakes or to avoid some social work for the welfare of common masses,Youths of Jammu had done mastery in this i.e.,Excuse field.
Excuses deny the responsibility and it is this responsibility which separates youth of Jammu from the rest of the Youths of country. If we have to take credit for our success we always take responsibility but do we accept that responsibility for our failures.
Shakespare has once rightly said that trying to hide our failures with excuses is somewhat like concealing a small hole in the garment with a small patch, doesn?t hide that hole but make the matters worse.
Lets now compare few sayings of Great Personalities with the Youths of Jammu–
- 1. “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed“.
–Mahatma Gandhi.
Isnt this true for the youths of Jammu?
- 2. “Youth is happy because it has the ability to see beauty. Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old“.
–Franz Kafka,Czech writer
Youths of jammu are happy seing the beauty of girls and vice versa and flirting with each other
But they don’t have the ability to see the real beauty that lies in our language, culture, traditions etc. because they are the busiest race ever born on this earth. They are busier than even President,PM of India because these 2 also got some free time.
- 3. “The world is passing through troubling times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they knew everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behavior”.
–Peter the Hermit, attributed, probably apochryphal
- 4. It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.
– Roy Disney, American Film Writer.
- 5. A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.
–Dwight David Eisenhower, 34th president of the United States
Its very much important to know about the traditional and cultural importance of ones place. We are confused a lot and are directionless because of just one reason that, there is lack of respect towards tradition and culture in our state.
Specially the girls today gives lot of importance to the western culture, they might not know who is the CM or Governor of J&K but they surely know who is the President of US.Specially the girls living in cities hardly knows anything about their own culture which is not good indeed.Guys also follow this because of just one silly reason, that is they have to impress girls. But if we don?t remember our traditions and cultural values and not even promote them, then they will soon fade away as the coming generations will be devoid of such rich culture heritage. It is therefore responsibility of ours to promote our culture and traditions.Even still u think its waste of time, . then i’ll just say…”WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE”.I love to write a lot but I think its more than enough.

Importance of Mother tongue
18Mother ,the word which is very hard to describe in few words. Even Wikipedia, the biggest online Encyclopedia is confused about the exact definition of this word, As per Wikipedia,A mother is a biological and/or social female parent of an offspring. Wikipedia continues, Because of the complexity and differences of a mothers’ social, cultural, and religious definitions and roles, it is challenging to define a mother to suit a universally accepted definition.
And As per Oxford the Language means ?
1. The method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way.
2. The system of communication used by a particular community or country. And almost after every some kms of walk one can find the different language had been used by the localites
In short,I want to say there is a link between the mother and language/mothertongue.
As you people might have heard about the story of a teenaged guy who has called GOD to know about the importance of a Mother.
The story goes like this:-
A teenage boy asked his mother that why is she crying and her mother gave an answer that because “She is a woman”
But boy didn’t understand what exactly is she trying to say,so he asks her mother that he doesn’t Understand.
His Mom just hugged him and said,
“And you never will, but that’s O.K.”
Later the little boy asked his father,
“Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?”.
“All women cry for no reason,” was all his Dad could say…
The little boy grew up and became a man,
still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked “God, why do women cry so easily?”
GOD answered… ..
“When I made woman,
I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders
strong enough to carry
the weight of the world, yet,
made her arms gentle enough to give comfort…
I gave her the inner strength
to endure childbirth
and the rejection
that many times will come
even from her own children.
I gave her a hardness
that allows her
to keep going and take care
of her family and friends,
even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without
complaining. …
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all
circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly.
And same is the case with the Importance of a mother tongue. The mother tongue is the true vehicle of the mother wit.
Another medium of speech may bring with it a current of new ideas. But the mother tongue is one in which a man is born. A man’s native speech is almost like his shadow, inseparable from his personality but in last few years, mother tongue is losing importance day by day and after few years I have doubt that very little person may even talk in mother tongue ( specially so called the urban and modern population). Indians, these days preferred to use English instead of Hindi citing the reason that English gives them more exposure and easy to get a job.Britishers left India some 60 years back but still we shy to use our mother tongue freely.
Is it the real freedom or only a physical freedom?Arent you people feel that still we are mentally slaves of Britishers? May be its an effect of globalization but still many European countries and many other developed countries like China,Russia,Japan etc. are maintaining their own language very well. But in India,we Indians are doing our best to disrespect our mothertongue by giving very stupid excuses that for a development of India we have to use English Language. If those countries(non-english) can developed,Why cant India?
Someone once said that When the whole world is switching over to English, Mr. Vajpayee has shown disrespect to it by addressing the U.N. in Hindi, which no other Indian PM had dared to so far. Leaders of many countries such as China, Japan, Russia, France, Germany and Spain address the international forums in their own national language. Do they all disrespect English by doing so?
But we Indians always give an excuse that for the better development Of India we need to use English. Why so? But still there are many states in India like Maharashtra,Gujarat,Karnataka and whole of south India prefers their mothertongue.Arent the South India is more developed as compared to North India? And if we compare Jammu(so called educated, urban, modern society of Jammu) with other cities, its very shameful that we cant even standup with them in giving repect to our mothertongue.
As per UNESCO,a research have shown that children who begin their education in their mother tongue make a better start, and continue to perform better, than those for whom school starts with a new language. The same applies to adults seeking to become literate. This conclusion is now widely implemented, although we still hear of governments that insist on imposing a foreign language of instruction on young children, either in a mistaken attempt at modernity or to express the pre-eminence of a social dominant group.
Few lines of Mahatma Gandhi:-Polak and I had often very heated discussion about the desirability or otherwise of giving the children an English education. It has always been my conviction that Indian parents who train their children to think and talkin English from their infancy betray their children and their country. They deprive them of the spiritual and social heritage of the nation, and render them to that extent unfit for the service of the country. Having these convictions, I made a point of always talking to my children in Gujarati. Polak never liked it. He thought I was spoiling their future. He contended, with all the vigour and love at his command, that, if children were to learn universal language like English from infancy, they would easily gain considerable advantage over others in the race of life. He failed to convince me.
As per Maharishi Mahesh Yogi,(who introduced the Transcedental Meditation technique and related programs and initiatives, including schools and universities with campuses in several countries including India, United States, Mexico, United Kingdom and China) Mother tongue is the Language of Nature, which is intimately related to the individual because it is structured and upheld by local Laws of Nature, which structure the physiology of the individual. Vedic Language is the Language of Nature, which is structured and upheld by the universal Laws of Nature, which are the common basis of all the physiological structures in the universe.
This means that there is a direct relationship of the whole with the part — between the mother tongue and the Vedic Language. This means that mother tongue is the closest to the Vedic Language.?
But my question here to every single Dogra is that When we start giving respect and importance to our mother tongue. Do we realize how important the mother tongue is? Without language you would have to talk to one another by means of signs. If you had a headache and you wanted to tell your mother about it, you would have to use signs, such as pointing to your head, or your eyes. You mother would not be able to tell at once if you meant you had a headache or your eyes hurt you. And the problem is with us that we prefer to use other languages instead of our mother tongue. Why step motherly behavior with our mothertongue whichever it is Dogri,Gojri,Pahadi,Poonchi,Kishtwari etc.?Is it so because our mothertongue too doesn’t demand anything from their speakers but use to cry from inside.
Its really a shame for the Sons(speakers) like us who treat our mother language as their step mother language. We don’t deserve to be live in that place where we don’t have any respect for our mother language and motherland.Do we?
Thanks.
Jammu Kashmir Police
3As per Oxford Dictionary, the word Police defined as
A Civil force responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order
Now lets talk little bit about the working of police in India.
First of all lets have Some of their Slogans of these state police which they Hardly follow:-
1.Delhi Police-Citizens First.
2.Mumbai Police-Custodians of your Trust.
3.Punjab Police:-Police to its Last Particle is Duty.
4.UP Police:-Humara Dharam Apki Suraksha
5.JK Police:-A Saga of Sacrifice and Courage.
All these slogans of these state polices are only Gimmicks,Nothing else.Once my friend from UK told me that the difference between Police in India and Police in UK is that in India, the Indian Police is like
Far the people,Bye the people and Off the people
But in UK it is like By the people,Of the people and For the people.People in UK wants to register their complaints as much as they can but here in India people try to avoid the Police and if some one registers a complaint,he has to visit the police station around 1000 times and sometimes even whole of his life and the worst thing is that everytime the person has to bribe these policemen.
Now lets talk about JKP(Jammu Kashmir Police).Yesterday when I was coming from Jammu to Udhampur.I saw an accident on the national highway NH-1A.The car was totally smashed by an Army vehicle,One was died and 3 others were badly injured. These 3 injured persons were crying for help but no one there wants to help them. There were around 200-300 army men surrounding them and was busy in watching Tamasha and was waiting for JKP(who believes in A Saga of Sacrifice and Courage.),but no one is willing to help them just because of our great system where one has to file FIR before getting any treatment and no one wants to be involved in this corrupt police system too, where one has to visit the police station every single day.Does the person who help that particular guy done something wrong or what?.
Although I dont know that some volunteer really comes out and help them or everyone was waiting for Police to come and then take them to some Hospital for treatment.I pray that those three injured persons must be getting good treatment and will get well soon.Because me too ran away from the site because our system suggests me so.
I was stuck there in the Traffic Jam for around about 15 minutes but I hadnt seen that any police person comes to the spot and must be that accident had taken place some 15-20 minutes back. I dont know that when they exactly arrived but I am very much sure that they hadnt reached before atleast an hour. And the irony is that just few Kms away there is a police station as well. Were they waiting for someone to bribe them before they reached the spot or they were busy in watching some TV or maybe busy in handling the security of some VIPs.
If the same incident will ever happens to these so called VIPs instead of common people,do these policepersons had taken so much time to reach the spot?
Do helping someone in this scenario is crime for the Police in India or what?
Why just one visit to police station is not more than enough? The only option the guy(who helped the injured persons) in India is having that he has to bribe these policemen to get rid of all these things.
Does our system lacks something or these policepersons only need money money and money?
Why cant we give them treatment first and they do all these formalities later on?
Do these formalities are more important than the life of a person?
I had visited many places in India but the way JKP works, no other state police works. The most corrupt state police i had ever seen.Although I have heard that the JKP still lot better than UP and Bihar Police,on which i realy doubt. But Jammu Kashmir Police has to be always on their toes because of the millitancy problems. But they are busy in giving security to persons like Shabbir Shah (who always talks of Pakistan and abuses India a lot),politicians etc.
Why nothing for common masses,Why only demand of money from them and that too undertable?
What about your slogan”A Saga of Sacrifice and Courage”?Most of your Duties has to be done by the Indian Army, if there is some law and order problem takes place then they have to come out and help you people which is common these days in Kashmir Valley.
What sacrifice and courage does Jammu Kashmir Police talking about.
Discrimination with Jammu again
6Ayurveda a wholistic system of medicines which originated from India around 5000-6000 years back.Over these years, ayurveda is having a nurturing influence on many systems of medicines like that of Chinese medicines,Unani Medicines,Humoral Medicines practiced by Hippocrates in Greece. The entire Ayurveda science? is based on? ?Panchabhuta Theory? i.e.Prithvi(earth), Jal(water), Agni(Fire), Vayu(Air) and Akash(Sky).
Whereas The Unani system of medicine originated in Greece and the term Unani is derived from ‘Unan’, Arabic and Urdu for ‘Greece’. The theoretical framework of Unani medicine is based on the work of Hippocrates (460-377 BC). Unani system follows the humoural theory which postulates the presence of four humours in the body: dam (blood), balgham (phlegm), safra (yellow bile) and sauda (black bile), a parallel to kapha, vata and pitta, the three doshas in Ayurveda.
Again Secularist Congress Govt. played the spoilsport in this regard,Ghulam Nabi Azad,Health minister of India, has said during his recent Kashmir visit, of opening a Govt. Unani College. There use to be a Unani college till 1979 but due to less funds the college closed in 1979.Due to this, the Ayurveda college in Jammu? also get closed on the excuse of less funds, but many people told me at that time the college was working very good and was having good number of patients almost equals to GMC.So,why then it closed if the college was getting good number of patients? Is it really due to less funds or is it because the Unani college closed in Kashmir?
Many times people of Jammu requests govt. of re-estabilishing the Ayurveda college, but that was like Beating Drums near the Deaf ears.In 2004,Central Health ministry sends their delegate to the state for the pupose of promoting ancient systems of medicines. This delegate send a report to Central Govt. of opening a Govt.Ayurveda College and Govt. Unani college? again and in 2005 when Central Govt. give their approval of re-opening these colleges. But no one knows what happens to this report, but suddenly when Ghulam Nabi Azad visit Kashmir,he announces re-opening of Unani College but no single word said on the Ayurveda College. Why do this Govt. still believes that Dogra are still in deep slumber, does this govt. forget that what united Dogras have done last year During Amarnath issue and during this year?s central university issue?Wasnt that enough to make govt. believes that Beware of Dogras and now they knows how to demand their needs and they will not accept any more discrimination and its very good for this Govt. that they accept this as soon as possible otherwise they will surely be in Big trouble.
Stop creating divide between Jammu and Kashmir, its warning? to Kashmir centric govt.from a common man of Jammu and stop playing this division card very wisely.Otherwise it will be too difficult to handle all these things in the near future. So its better that Govt. understands this as soon as possible
City Of Temples-Heaven On Earth-Jammu
11If there is a Heaven on Earth, its here here and here..
well said…
but our earth is left with no corner where we can get peace.
loud noise of terrorism and polution of great politics are top most reason for spoiling our heaven.
Jambu Lochan son of The King Agni-Garab had a large Principality but always desired to have the capital town of the Principality at some other place. Luckily, one day during hunting on a ridge on the opposite side of the Fort & across the river Tawi, he saw the thirsty Lion and Goat drinking water peacefully in the same Pond. On return to have good advice he narrated the whole story to his courtiers. They all responded that the soil of place is excelled in all virtues i.e. the living creatures are not to have any sort of enmity against each other.
Is this story real or virtue? If its real then where is our dream land Jammu.
Why people fight with each other…??
Why there is a corruption…??
Why people land out of their home and fight for piece of earth…??
Why politicians are sitting idle with no solution on terrorism that started in late 1980′s…???
and according to the current situation…Why Jammuites are always dominated by politicians and their so-called decisions, that lead with no solution than to fight against for the rights and calls for “Jammu-Band”.
Government changes after every six years and promises made by government changes after every minute.
The Dream I Hve For Our City Of Temples- Jammu, is free from all the discriminations being done to Jammuites.
The group of “Yuva Bharat” Must be created. These are not just words but a wake up call for Jammuites, to come forward and make our City of Temples a better place to Live.
