Slogan of Jammu’s Govt. Employees:-Strike,Strike,Strike and No Work

9

Strike, strike and strike which seems to be  the common scenario these days  in Jammu.Whenever you watch any local news channel or even passes through some govt. office, you can easily find that someone is sitting on the strike. And most of the time, the common demand is increase in the income.

As per  Wikipedia,Strike is known as a walkout, a work stoppage caused by the mass refusal of employees to perform work.

But funnier thing is that do these sarkari babus does any type of work in their offices? If Yes,then they have every right to protest but if not,why are they protesting?

But Let me clear one thing here before moving ahead, I am talking about most of the govt. employees, not all.

Whenever some Aam Admi vists any Sarkari daftar, the common excuse these sarkari babus use to give, Please Kal aana, aaj nhi ho payega”.

Its too hard to digest that itna kya kam karte hain ye sarkari Babu ki humesha kl hi bulate hain and unfortunately that their “Kal” never comes.Ironically, that Kal comes only with bribe or some sifarish.

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “Corruption and hypocrisy ought not to be inevitable products of democracy, as they undoubtedly are today.”How correctly he had said that and it exactly fits in the present condition.

I have read somewhere that if we are able to bring down the corruption even by 20%, it will surely going to skyrocket  JK’s GDP. More than 80% of all government transactions are bountiful with corruption either through on the table or through under the table.

There were thousands of Govt. employees were on the strikes few days back demanding increase in retirement age and 6th pay commission (so that they enjoy comfort for 2 years more and gets hefty pays alongwith some bribe.Although they have every right to demand of these Arrears). But my question is:-Do they really deserve 6th pay commission?

We have discussed a lot about the govt. employees and have put a big question mark on their credibility. But what about the other side of coin.Ya,you are right.I am talking about the Govt. Are they Doodh Ke dhule? Not at all, this JK govt. is so corrupt that it is too difficult to narrate that in few words. So,simply no one dares to call this govt. a DOODH KI DHULI.Do they really care of Jkites?

If they are, why no strict action against bribe accepting officials present in the govt.?

Why the officials of IT dept. raided only patwaris and like these?I have never heard that there is any raid in the house of any JK Govt.’s officials? Its request to Omar Abdullah, first clean your house and then try to clean others. But this request is like bhains ke aage Been bajana.

By publishing these cheap advertisements, what are they exactly trying to show?

Their own failure or someone else’s.When will be this Govt. seriously going to start thinking  about the state instead of their own pockets?

Unfortunately, there is a third side also involved in this issue. The members of this side always remains on their toes to show their Ghinona Chehra.I hope you have understood till now whom I am exactly talking about. If not, then I ll let you know.Iam talking about the leaders of different political parties specially the opposition parties which consists of PDP,BJP,JSM,Panthers Party etc..These leaders always blames govt. for this and that.

But everyone knows that these leaders are mainly behind  all these strikes and do their best to provoke the leaders of these unions to go on the strike. These union leaders goes on strike and these oppostion leaders love watching their cheap slogans on TV by sitting in the comforts of A.C.

Its Hard to digest but IS HAMAM MAIN SAB NANGE HAIN.

Who is going to put stop on this corruption, baseless strikes and petty politics? Its YOU,YOU and YOU.

No one else is going to come forward on your behalf to put a stop on them.its your city, your state, your country and your world. So, guys come forward and do your best to stop all these nonsense. In hindi, there is a saying,”Dusre ke fatte Main hum kyun hath Dale?” Its not someone else’s “FATTA”,its your’s which is getting FUTTIER(a word mixture of hindi and english) and FUTTIER day by day.

So guys,Please join your Hands and stop going on hartals every other day and stop accepting bribes.Every Bribe you refuse is a gift(very well written by someone). If you(govt. employees) really work hard ,instead of having Chai and gappe in offices, then I am sure then there will be a no voice (like mine) against you.because action speaks louder than words.

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Signing out,

Jai hind.

I know I am very rude in my last few statements, but few  word of some  Jammuities hurt me a lot like money matters more than self-respect,I can do anything for publicity(and the article:-Debut entry in Blog world written by some Abhyudhay, about whom I dont know much is also some fakie person created by me).

As Sidhu says,”No one one dares to kick a dead dog.”

Someone has rightly said,“When we judge or criticize another person, it says nothing about that person; it merely says something about our own need to be critical.

One more,”All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.”

A man’s country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.

Moral of the story is:-

Sometimes we get so caught up in producing, achieving and becoming successful, that we may never stop to ask, “What is life all about? What am I really living for?”

Importance of Mother tongue

18

Mother ,the word which is very hard to describe in few words. Even Wikipedia, the biggest online Encyclopedia is confused about the exact definition of this word, As per Wikipedia,A mother is a biological and/or social female parent of an offspring. Wikipedia continues, Because of the complexity and differences of a mothers’ social, cultural, and religious definitions and roles, it is challenging to define a mother to suit a universally accepted definition.

And As per Oxford the Language means ?

1. The method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way.

2. The system of communication used by a particular community or country. And almost after every some kms of walk one can find the different language had been used by the localitesLanguage_tree

In short,I want to say there is a link between the mother and language/mothertongue.

As you people might have heard about the story of a teenaged guy who has called GOD to know about the importance of a Mother.

The story goes like this:-

A teenage boy asked his mother that why is she crying and her mother gave an answer that because “She is a woman”

But boy didn’t understand what exactly is she trying to say,so he asks her mother that he doesn’t Understand.

His Mom just hugged him and said,

“And you never will, but that’s O.K.”

Later the little boy asked his father,

“Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?”.

“All women cry for no reason,” was all his Dad could say…

The little boy grew up and became a man,

still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked “God, why do women cry so easily?”

GOD answered… ..

“When I made woman,

I decided she had to be special.

I made her shoulders

strong enough to carry

the weight of the world, yet,

made her arms gentle enough to give comfort…

I gave her the inner strength

to endure childbirth

and the rejection

that many times will come

even from her own children.

I gave her a hardness

that allows her

to keep going and take care

of her family and friends,

even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without

complaining. …

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all

circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly.

And same is the case with the Importance of a mother tongue. The mother tongue is the true vehicle of the mother wit.

Another medium of speech may bring with it a current of new ideas. But the mother tongue is one in which a man is born. A man’s native speech is almost like his shadow, inseparable from his personality but in last few years, mother tongue is losing importance  day by day and after few years I have doubt that very little person may even talk in mother tongue ( specially so called the urban and modern population). Indians, these days preferred to use English instead of Hindi citing the reason that English gives them more exposure and easy to get a job.Britishers left India some 60 years back but still we shy to use our mother tongue  freely.

Is it the real freedom or only a physical freedom?Arent you people feel that still we are mentally slaves of Britishers? May be its an effect of globalization but still many European countries and many other developed countries like China,Russia,Japan etc. are maintaining their own language very well. But in India,we Indians are doing our best to disrespect our mothertongue by giving very stupid excuses that for a development of India we have to use English Language. If those countries(non-english) can developed,Why cant India?

Someone once said that When the whole world is switching over to English, Mr. Vajpayee has shown disrespect to it by addressing the U.N. in Hindi, which no other Indian PM had dared to so far. Leaders of many countries such as China, Japan, Russia, France, Germany and Spain address the international forums in their own national language. Do they all disrespect English by doing so?

But we Indians always give an excuse that for the better development Of India we need to use English. Why so? But still there are many states in India like Maharashtra,Gujarat,Karnataka and whole of south India prefers their mothertongue.Arent the South India is more developed as compared to North India? And if we compare Jammu(so called educated, urban, modern society of Jammu) with other cities, its very shameful that we cant even standup with them in giving repect to our mothertongue.

mother-tongue-dilemma

As per UNESCO,a research have shown that children who begin their education in their mother tongue make a better start, and continue to perform better, than those for whom school starts with a new language. The same applies to adults seeking to become literate. This conclusion is now widely implemented, although we still hear of governments that insist on imposing a foreign language of instruction on young children, either in a mistaken attempt at modernity or to express the pre-eminence of a social dominant group.

Few lines of Mahatma Gandhi:-Polak and I had often very heated discussion about the desirability or otherwise of giving the children an English education. It has always been my conviction that Indian parents who train their children to think and talkin English from their infancy betray their children and their country. They deprive them of the spiritual and social heritage of the nation, and render them to that extent unfit for the service of the country. Having these convictions, I made a point of always talking to my children in Gujarati. Polak never liked it. He thought I was spoiling their future. He contended, with all the vigour and love at his command, that, if children were to learn universal language like English from infancy, they would easily gain considerable advantage over others in the race of life. He failed to convince me.

As per Maharishi Mahesh Yogi,(who introduced the Transcedental Meditation technique and related programs and initiatives, including schools and universities with campuses in several countries including India, United States, Mexico, United Kingdom and China) Mother tongue is the Language of Nature, which is intimately related to the individual because it is structured and upheld by local Laws of  Nature, which structure the physiology of the individual. Vedic Language is the Language of Nature, which is structured and upheld by the universal Laws of Nature, which are the common basis of all the physiological structures in the universe.

This means that there is a direct relationship of the whole with the part — between the mother tongue and the Vedic Language. This means that mother tongue is the closest to the Vedic Language.?

But my question here to every single Dogra is that When we start giving respect and importance to our mother tongue. Do we realize how important the mother tongue is? Without language you would have to talk to one another by means of signs. If you had a headache and you wanted to tell your mother about it, you would have to use signs, such as pointing to your head, or your eyes. You mother would not be able to tell at once if you meant you had a headache or your eyes hurt you. And the problem is with us that we prefer to use other languages instead of our mother tongue. Why step motherly behavior with our mothertongue whichever it is Dogri,Gojri,Pahadi,Poonchi,Kishtwari etc.?Is it so because our mothertongue too doesn’t demand anything from their speakers but use to cry from inside.

Its really a shame for the Sons(speakers) like us who  treat our mother language as their step mother language. We don’t deserve to be live in that  place where we don’t have any respect for our mother language and motherland.Do we?

Thanks.

Jammu’s Identity Crisis

27

Jammu, the Winter capital city of J&K , is also known as the city of temples. But if we ask anyone outside the J&K, he/she doesnt know that.

Why is it so?

  • No one knows that Jammu is culturally, linguistically, climatically totally different from Kashmir.
  • No one knows that the maximum population in Jammu is of Dogras, although they (outside J&K residents) don?t know Who are DOGRAS??What is this DOGRA community all about??They think  its Kashmir only

Kya hai meri Pehchaan

Who is responsible for such Identity Crisis?

I, as a part of our Dogra community, feel such identity crisis when i move out of Jammu Region. Not only me, but 90% of the JAMMUITES (Dogras, Bhaderwahis, Kishtwaris, Poonchis) who have moved out of Jammu, for job or studies, feel such Identity crisis. Why is it so and Who is responsible for such identity crisis? You Dont know me???

I feel,We the Jammuites, are the main culprits for such identity Crisis. We, the Jammuites, have never ever given any respect to our motherland, culture, language but we always blame politicians for that. But are those politicians really responsible for our identity crisis outside J&K? My answer will be NO. But the people specially living in the so called MODERN cities don’t have any respect for their culture and theirr language, A city or state is known for the quality of the residents residing there. That’s why someone has rightly said that “People are the wealth of Nation”.

Real Wealth: A person’s intelligence connecting with innovation, creativity and social consciousness, neighbours helping neighbours and corporations and networks helping people. But Are we, the Jammuites, helping corporations in that, instead of cursing them?

1. Have we ever protested against the name of KAS(KASHMIR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES),if our state’s name is JAMMU and Kashmir then why can’t the name be JKAS?

2. Had we ever protested against the different maps published where the state’s capital is always published as SRINAGAR?If we have two capitals, then why is there no mention of the two capitals?

3. Have we ever protested against that In our schools, we don’t have a single chapter on J&K’s History? Is it because the Dogras ruled the state most of the time?

4. Have we ever protested against the media who also loves to give more attention to Kashmir?

5. If some good incident happens in Kashmir then the media publishes it as to be the happening in KASHMIR only. But if some bad thing happens, then the same biased media publishes it as to be the happening in JAMMU & KASHMIR.And whatever happens in Jammu, it hardly comes in national media except those terrorist attacks. ( e.g., The Sex scandal which happened in Kashmir valley, the media named it as the J&K Sex Scandal, but when Anara Gupta’s incident took place, the same media named it as Jammu Scandal?)Why is it so???

Why do we The Jammuites, never protested against that?

I know these protests  are not going to help us, “To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.”but with a little bit of protest against all these discriminations can bring us in the limelight and will help us to wake up all those JAMMUITES, who are the victims of such situations.I think its the time pay tribute to all those great Dogras who spent their whole life working for JAMMU.

As Abraham Lincoln says “To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.”Are we cowards,I know we are “not” but this materialistic world makes us ..Isnt it?

Is money more important than self-Respect?

By protest,I mean to say Raise your voice with some passion, enthusiasm and fervour. By burning effigies  and abusing Govt. is of no use.

I will be very greatful to that person who will reply me all these questions?
